Destination Covered: Delhi – Jaipur- Agra – Delhi- Aurangabad – Mumbai

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi. Meeting and assistance on arrival. Half day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Raj Ghat. Drive past Jama Masjid, Red Fort & India Gate (War Memorial Arch). Also drive past President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 02 : Delhi-Jaipur (265 kms, 05hrs)

Morning drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon time free to explore the vibrant market of Jaipur which is very famous for handicrafts and local artwork. Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Overnight Jaipur. 

Day 03 : Jaipur

Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon continue with Jaipur sightseeing, visit Maharaja’s City Palace & the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.

Day 04 : Jaipur-Agra (256 kms, 04/5hrs)

Drive to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.  Arrive agra. Check in to hotel, evening at leisure. Overnight Agra.

Day 05 : Agra-Delhi (210 kms, 05hrs)

Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. Afternoon drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and check in to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 06 : Delhi- Aurangabad (By Air)

After breakfast in the morning proceed to Delhi airport to catch flight to Aurangabad. Arrive Aurangabad & transfer to hotel. Visit to the Ellora Caves, Daulatabad Fort and Aurangabad Caves. Aurangabad Caves is a popular tourist location in India situated 9 kilometers from Aurangabad in Maharashtra just outside the city near the famous monument Bibi-Ka-Maqbara. Ellora Caves(Closed on Tuesdays): In all, there are 34 cave temples, 12 Mahayana Buddhist caves (550-750 AD), 17 Hindu caves (600-875 AD) and 5 caves of the Jain faith (800-1000 AD) 22 more caves, dedicated to Lord Shiva, were recently discovered. Overnight in Aurangabad.

Day 07 : Aurangabad

After breakfast take an excursion tour to Ajanta Caves ( Closed on Mondays ) which is approx. 100 km from Aurangabad in the shape of a mammoth horse- shoe, are the 30 rock-hewn caves of Ajanta.   The Caves date from the 2nd century BC. Discovered in 1819 by a group of British army officers, these startling achievements took around 600 years to create. Their isolation contributed to the fine state of preservation in which some of their remarkable paintings remain to this day. Ajanta is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Carved with little more than a hammer and chisel, Ajanta, once the retreat of Buddhist monastic orders features several ‘chaityas’ (chapels) and ‘viharas’ (monasteries). Return to Aurangabad and overnight will be at Aurangabad.

Day 08 : Aurangabad-Mumbai (By Air)

After breakfast proceed to Aurangabad airport to catch flight to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai and check in to your hotel.  Mumbai is a spicy masala of entrepreneurs, concrete towers, clubs and discos, cricket, Bollywood, history, great cuisine, beaches and much more! Mumbai is located on a site of ancient settlement and took its name from the local Goddess “Mumba” – a form of Parvati, the consort of Shiva, one of the principal Gods of Hinduism – whose temple once stood in what is now the southeastern section of the Mumbai city. Day free for leisure. Overnight in Mumbai.

Day 09 : Mumbai

After breakfast start you sightseeing to The Gateway of India – a grand ceremonial arch built to commemorate the visit of King George IV; Mani Bhavan – where the father of our Nation resided for 15 years; the Marine drive; the Prince of Wales museum – considered one of the best museums in the country; the Hanging gardens & Victoria Railway Station.  Overnight in Mumbai.

Day 10 : Departure

After breakfast, proceed to the airport for your onward destination.
